"Light. I love it. Hunt it. Crave it. Both as a human being and as a photographer. Like a moth, I am drawn to it—I can’t stop myself. It makes me feel energized and alive, and it is a strong driving factor in my decision to take a photo."
also a flare lover! totally agree with you on how we don’t normally see our world that way so it’s very special to capture it in a photo. gorgeous shots and writing! thanks for sharing!
Warm, golden backlight is the best! Especially when it shines through trees. But really, light isn't good or bad it's just that some light is better suited for some shots and not for others. The worst light, is no light.
I looooove golden backlight! And it's beautiful through trees. I photographed some of that just this morning actually 😍 and yeah, calling light "good" or "bad" doesn't really work, it's so circumstancial. But no light at all is certainly problematic 😅
Love the flares! I totally agree that light is a tool we can use for storytelling—sometimes it’s the harsh noon light that fits best, other times it’s a diffused dark ambience after sunset.
I couldn't agree more with this post. The right changes the mundane into something magical and the already beautiful into something unspeakably sublime. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this.
That's exactly it! I am glad that notion came through, it was interesting to put it into words. Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment 🙏🏽✨️

Light is forever ☀️ a photo can have a great subject, great moment, but light is ultimately needed to show it off! Fantastic shots and great read!
